Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has a long-term contract for Sr. Digital Design Engineers to research, design, develop and test electronic equipment and systems including: radar detection/communications equipment and systems, circuitry components, computers, and Digital Signal Processing equipment.-
The position is 100% onsite at our client's Scottsdale, AZ facility.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:-
- Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance.
- Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs.
- Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind our client's-culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures.
- Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure our client's services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices.
- Provide technical leadership and/or direction to lower level designers
- Must be US Citizen due to work being performed
- Must be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance (Active Secret or Top Secret is preferred at time of hire)
- BS degree in a STEM field and 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
- Experience with schematic capture
- Extensive experience designing multi-layer Printer Circuit Boards with controlled impedance layers and blind micro-vias
- Able to analyze and test for signal integrity, crosstalk, etc.
- Familiar with several families of Micro Processors, Micro Controllers, FPGAs and System-on-Chips
- Demonstrates initiative on assignments, exercises strong independent judgment
- Able to technically lead/mentor less senior engineers-
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Mentor design tools
- High Reliability or Space experience
- Experience with Worst Case Analysis, Stress Analysis
