Elite Technical is seeking a Tier 1 Service Desk Technician to support our client, a major arena in Washington DC. The selected candidate will supports all internal staff, and live events (including nights and weekends, estimated 1x per wk, otherwise M-F 9a to 5p) by providing Tier 1 Technical assistance across hardware, software, networking, server, and broadcast environments.
The selected candidate will manage enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure/Entra ID, and oversees endpoints via Intune and JAMF. Key responsibilities include setting up computer devices, live event support, basic network troubleshooting, cable infrastructure maintenance, documentation, and collaboration with teammates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Tier 1 Level Technical Support for all end-users focusing on troubleshooting of hardware, software, network, broadcast, and A/V systems. 50% phone / 50% hands-on support
- Configure, image, and deploy workstations using Intune Auto-pilot or JAMF Pro.
- Perform scheduled employee computer and mobile device refreshes.
- Assist with setting up hardware devices for offices, conference rooms, and events.
- Troubleshoot basic networking issues related to connectivity, ports, WiFi, and VPN.
- Maintain data cabling and fiber systems along with data closets and cable paths.
- Provide technical support during live events (1x per week, nights and possible weekends)
- Document and track all work in ticketing management system.
- Create and share Standard Operation Procedures and Knowledge Base Articles amongst the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
- CompTIA A+-certified is required
- 4+ years experience as a Desktop Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, or similar role.
- Workable knowledge and configuration of Microsoft Azure / Active Directory, Intune, JAMF.
- Knowledge of computer software, desktop and mobile operating systems, hardware, and networking.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and macOS environments.
- Solid grasp of office automation products and computer peripherals including printers and scanners.
- Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and on a team.
- Ability to resolve issues remotely and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to balance and prioritize work with competing target dates.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
